UGLY Coffee

As a Canadian roaster, we understand the struggles people are facing especially with a softening economy and a weakening dollar.  Coffee is primarily traded in USD, with a weak Canadian dollar we feel heavily impacted.  Not to mention the cost of coffee has nearly doubled over a year.  The lowest point being 200, the high being 450, currently just under 380

I decided that we need to make a change for the coffee community.  With the rest of the industry raising prices we decided to profit less.  In fact this pilot project probably loses money because I don't factor in my own time and rent.

UGLY COFFEE

So why am I doing this?  It's because I have some left over coffee from other coffee shops that decided they didn't want to use the bean.  Or they paid for the full bag, sold enough of their product and I have it sitting around as extra.  Of course we reimburse them for not using everything but I need to find a way to move the last little bit.  I should have enough for all orders, if not I'll just buy a new bag and be happy to have revenue.

We're less in it for the money and more in it for the volume.  If we can hit an extremely high amount of coffee sold per month, I could start profiting off the shipping costs we end up saving.

Coffee is a weird industry, in my opinion it's not how much you can charge, but how much you can EVENTUALLY save.
